Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
Art of the Travel (artofthetravel.com) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics — a privacy-focused analytics platform that does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personally identifiable information. Plausible is GDPR, CCPA, and PECR compliant. No cookie consent banner is required. You can review Plausible's data policy at plausible.io/privacy.
If you subscribe to our email list, your email address is stored with Kit (ConvertKit). We use this only to send our newsletter and occasional travel dispatches. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email. We do not sell or share your email address. Kit's privacy policy is at kit.com/privacy.
Browser storage (Trivia game)
The Daily Trivia game stores your streak and today's result in your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click them, third-party platforms (Booking.com, GetYourGuide, Eurail, etc.) may set their own cookies to track referrals. These platforms have their own privacy policies. See our Affiliate Disclosure for full details of our commercial relationships.
External images
This site uses images from Unsplash. When your browser loads these images, your IP address is visible to Unsplash's CDN as part of the standard HTTP request. Unsplash's privacy policy applies.
Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you (primarily your email address if subscribed). To exercise these rights, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us via the About page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site grows. Material changes will be noted with an updated date at the top of this page.
